alright so this is about PTV in Frankfurt aka the best day/night of my life

the show was just nuts. it was the smallest concert I had ever been to, like in a basement and the stage was barely big enough to fit the band on there. it wasn’t even that high either so even though I was only in the second row, they were right in front of me the whole time.

when I saw them in Amsterdam I was on Tony’s side so this time I went to stand on Vic’s/Jaime’s side thank God for that decision.

they came out on stage and you could tell they were in a great mood and it was gonna be an awesome set, and that’s what it was indeed. they were literally jumping off the walls and jumping everywhere the whole time it was crazy.

Vic disappeared in the crowd or somewhere during The Boy Who Could Fly and when he came back on stage, during the last part I had my hand in the air and he grabbed it and held onto it and it was beautiful.

before Yeah Boy And Doll Face he did some talking and then he was like “we’re gonna dedicate this song to” and then looked and pointed at me and said “to you” (he continued “and to all the girls” lol but I was still very happy in that moment).

Jaime tried to crowdsurf several times but it never really worked because the stage wasn’t high enough and there weren’t enough people to hold him up either. and for some reason he always held onto me/my hands when he tried to get himself up but I don’t have a lot of strength so yeah it didn’t really work. one time he sort of fell back on stage and I thought he got hurt but he just got up like nothing happened and rocked on. awesome.

Jaime also always went up on this monitor thing and looked down over the crowd and one time he held out his bass for us to touch. he smiled at me several times when he saw I was shouting the lyrics.

but the best part was when Jaime looked at me and threw his pick at me, I was so surprised I couldn’t even catch it, so I crouched down in the middle of the song and felt around for it on the floor but it wasn’t there and I was kinda bummed but later, when I went to buy something to drink and felt around in my pocket for money guess what I found? HIS PICK! IT HAD LANDED IT IN MY FUCKING POCKET I mean how does that even happen?!

but yeah their show was amazing, I noticed that Tony and Jaime almost always mouth the lyrics along which is so cool I think and just shows how much they get into performing their songs.. at one point between songs Vic starting saying random things into the mic like “wooooooo” “woooohoooooooo” “fuck yeah” and the crowd would always say them back until at one point he didn’t know what to say anymore and just stood there and then laughed and we all laughed it was funny.

at the end of their set, I was so exhausted and hot, I was happy when Jaime threw a water bottle into the crowd and I got some water on my face as it flew past me. I probably also had their spit and sweat on me because they were so close haha.

fast forward to the end of blessthefall’s set, Beau says they have one more song left and I knew there would be an encore as well so I decided to go upstairs already to buy some more merch and hopefully meet PTV again.

I had to pee first though and when I went to the bathroom Tony walked past me also going to the bathroom (the men’s though obviously lol) and I was so starstruck omg. then when I was washing my hands I could hear Vic’s voice outside and I started shaking a bit and feeling sick and incredibly nervous and I thought “omg, I’ll never be able to talk to him”

but when I walked out I found out I didn’t have a choice anyway because he was actually doing the merch and I wanted to buy another shirt so.. he didn’t even notice me at first though because he was talking to Tony and two girls who were behind the merch table with them and blessthefall’s merch guy told Vic I was there and then I just sort of went on autopilot.

he and Tony noticed I was wearing a PTV shirt so they said “awesome shirt”. then he went looking for the shirt I wanted but he couldn’t find it, then their real merch guy came back in and asked what he was looking for and Vic told him and he was like “I’m afraid that’s the only one that isn’t available anymore” and I was like “noooooooooooo” (on the inside) and Vic said “but everything else is still here” and I told him I already had most of the other shirts because I saw them in Amsterdam and stuff.

and then the conversation was pretty much over but I didn’t want it to be so I said “can I show you my tattoo” and held my arm out to Vic and he looked at it and stared at it in awe and was like “wow that is so awesome thank you so much” and hugged me and I said “the waves are from the Isles & Glaciers album cover” and he was like “oh really that’s great”

then he takes out his phone “let me take a picture of it” and I was like “SURE” and he took a pic. Tony was standing next to him and glanced over at it but didn’t say anything lol. after Vic took the picture he was like “what’s your name?” and I told him and he was like “we should do a photobooth on my phone!” and I just thought “jsakhdjskafhjdksal” and I didn’t even know what he meant at first but then I realized so I pulled funny faces with him and all the time I thought “this can’t be happening”

after that I told him that I loved seeing them and that I hope they’ll come back next year with the new album and stuff and he said they will and that they were going to record it the beginning of next year and I was like “great”. then he turned away again and I said “Vic could you sign my ticket” and he was like “oh yeah of course” it was so sweet. he signed it then he wrote “thank you - <3 Vic”

then I decided to buy one of the other shirts that were still there and I didn’t have so I told him and he got it and sold it to me and I said “thank you so much and good luck with the rest of the tour and I’ll be waiting here for you to come back” and he was like “okay! bye” and I said bye and waved at him and walked out.
